Team training is very important aspect in context of code quality. I had experience of this. During my initial days of a job, I was working on a feature in NestJS that has some uses of Date. I wrote my own functions for that, but later on, in my PR review, my lead told that we have already defined functions for dates and their manipulation in a separate service. This is a very small example, but by this you can see, if there's a training session and the team is told about the practices being used, this will help a lot to tackle and code quality problems.
