First step is to do the Scoping of change, ie identify the impacted groups and individuals, followed by defining the type of the change and quantification of change wherever relevant.? An organization’s capacity to change has to be analyzed with some stress testing before hand by correlating it to the structure of the organization, which will help install some “shock absorbers” before hand.? Once this is done , an organization has to quickly chart out a change management strategy. An important point from a scalability perspective is to instill a sponsor who should assess the risk in the early stage to suggest course correction

It is perhaps important to first understand that “Change” is not an initiative. It is a constant. And as such, a constant has no scale. And yet, to answer the question, for Change to succeed it is important for the people to be Involved and Immersed in contributing. We are on the cusp of a new era when disruptive transformation rather than incremental change is demanded to renew the Structures, Synergies and Systems we operate in. If it's truly valuable - it will be recognized and adopted eagerly. Scaling won't be an issue.

There has to be a clear, great vision which is motivating enough. The end outcomes and goals have to be SMART (Specific, measure able, achievable relevant and time bound). There has to be a strategy to convert the vision in to actions. Firstly, people have to be bought in to change initiative, then enabled to implement the change. The change has to be evolutionary, the work force needs to see tangible results as a part of a scalable, aggregational plan, to sustain the change initiative. Have enough Change champions. The change has to make the workforce day easier and more meaningful and happier to sustain the progress. Last but not the least it should add value to business and associates to get buy in of both sponsors, employees.
