Customers expect the very best from your business. Failing to meet their expectations can cause them to seek out a competitor who will. The ability to meet customer expectations can directly influence the success and sustainability of any business. Customers have more choices than ever, and their expectations can evolve rapidly. By understanding and meeting those expectations, businesses can differentiate themselves from competitors and build strong customer relationships. Your business can’t simply meet one aspect of your customers’ expectations and assume they’ll be satisfied. There are different levels of customer expectations, and if you fail to deliver on all of them, your relationship will be in some risk.

It is the first and the most important step and a proper VOC process can help you identify what your customer wants. It's also important to predict customer requirements for business expansion and plan ahead to facilitate the expansion process.

This begins by clearly defining service objectives, understanding customer needs, and establishing robust processes. Incorporating quality checkpoints throughout the service lifecycle helps identify and address potential issues early on. Employing industry standards and best practices ensures a solid foundation. Regular performance evaluations, customer feedback loops, and continuous improvement initiatives contribute to refining service quality over time. A commitment to excellence in design not only enhances customer experience but also establishes a reputation for reliability and value in the market.

Designing quality plans to assure, the process is going on as intended, and reducing fluctuations of process to a minimum level are of utmost importance.

Additionally, another tool that can be used is DFSS. By designing system that can yield six sigma output, you are starting the process with a strong base and monitor using monitoring tools such as controls charts

And there are many tools that you can use depending on the problem/ project/ service or the purpose (define issue, solve issue, identifying root causes, identifying failure points .. etc) And the complexity. And there are many tools for each objective/purpose ((DMAIC), FMEA, 5 Whys, ISHIKAWA diagram, 5S, Kanban, .. etc) So, Define your case and select the appropriate tool.

We can use tools like SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). Process mapping to visualize current workflows and identify bottlenecks. So measure the analysis outcomes (Process KPIs, Customer satisfaction, financial results .. etc) to assess whether you are on the track or not, and in case of any off track result you need to identify the improvement actions needed that will manage this problem specifically taking into consideration not affecting any other indicators.

As per my view, Improving quality management means using new tools and ways to make sure things work better. We can use smart technology to check problems before they happen, like sensors that watch over things. Also using online system helps everyone work together and fix issues faster. Robots can handle repetitive tasks and working closely with suppliers can make things smoother. Being quick to adapt and always looking for ways to do better is key, as listening to customers to make sure they are happy. Overall it is about always trying to be better at what we do.

Detailed market research is required before launching new services to clearly understand the gap and actual problems. this should be followed by detailed planning, one should clearly understand whats required and need to be provided to eliminate the gap and gain customer satisfaction by providing solutions to the actual problems. When one clearly understands the customer’s concerns, then PDCA technique is enough to come up with solutions.
