Innovation and improvement tend to get hammered by budget. To introduce the change it takes a culture that is willing to teach and provide development opportunities for your CRE/FM Team, a team that is willing to learn new ideas and systems and not be intimated by them, and a leader that is open to hearing people out. An FM Team is typically non revenue generating. That tends to leave the team with the idea that we should only cut costs to improve process. But sometimes introducing a new tech or idea can cost money up front. To maximize new ideas, then develop the ability to detail the benefits of your proposal and how in the short-medium-long term it will benefit the company either in a financial, quantitative, or qualitative way.
