1 Principle 1: Be clear on the goals and expectations

Before you end your LGF session, make sure you and the participants are clear on the goals and expectations of the follow-up. What are the main outcomes and actions from the session? Who is responsible for what? How will you communicate and monitor the progress? How will you evaluate the results and feedback? Clarifying these questions will help you avoid confusion, ambiguity, and disappointment later on.

It's essential to keep participants informed of the results of their efforts. istribute Materials: If any materials, presentations, or handouts were used during the session, share them with the participants. 2 Principle 2: Be timely and consistent

Don't wait too long to follow up after your LGF session. Ideally, you should send a thank-you note, a summary of the session, and a reminder of the next steps within 24 hours. This will show your appreciation, reinforce the key messages, and maintain the momentum. Then, follow up regularly and consistently according to the agreed schedule and format. This will show your commitment, accountability, and support.

Follow-ups are will become miss-ups if not carried through within 48 hours. Most people will lose more than 50% information retention after day after session. A quick short pointer recap on chatgroup (if setup previously) can be initiated. Then a more detailed email can be sent to gain commitment.

El facilitador debe ser consiente del espacio, el tiempo y el animo de las personas con las que se relaciona, para encontrar el punto medio entre no invadir y no dejar a la deriva. Esto es complicado cuando se trata al grupo como un grupo y no como personas totalmente individuales.

No matter how well you plan and execute your LGF session, there will always be unexpected challenges and changes in the follow-up. Be prepared to adjust your follow-up strategy and tactics as needed. Be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs and situations of your participants and stakeholders.

Don't ignore or dismiss their feedback, questions, or complaints. Instead, use them as opportunities to learn, improve, and grow.

Follow-up is also a learning process for you as a facilitator. Be reflective and evaluative of your own performance and impact. Ask yourself: What went well and what didn't? Seguramente realizar reuniones de trabajo en tiempos cortos y programados , con temas claros a tratar , garantizan buenos resultados. Al finalizar cada etapa se debe dejar plasmado lo resuelto, y también lo pendiente. Al finalizar cada etapa se evaluará en forma cualitativa el desarrollo dela misma .
