Second ones are which are new and have some challenging auspects. For first ones there should be an hierachy in design establishment for eliminating errors and there is rarely a chance of error. If there is decrepency. Then it is negligence. For second category all points shared are valid. In case error is detected it must be due to some un-anticipated input which has not been accounted in calculations. It should be immediately shared with project manager. An experienced structural engineer has always an alternative. A wise decision shall elevate stature of designer.
