Be where your customer or decision makers at. Start off having an omni channel presence strategy using organic content. Double down on the best performing channel and prioritising the remaining by repurposed content and localisation. If you are selling and marketing toys (product) to children (ICP), you might want to be on LinkedIn and Facebook. You could consider Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube ads or even OOH.

-Start by knowing where you audience hangs out, which platforms perform the best? -Create content that provides value and solves common problems your audience wants to solve. -Promote content that your audience can only receive by being on your email list. -Create lead magnets that promise to help solve a problem in exchange for an email address. These could include a pdf guide, checklist, mind map, or video series. Many will be happy to be added to your list in exchange for solving a common pain point. - On your website, add copy that will entice visitors to sign up to be on your list. What benefits will they receive by signing up? -Post unique, valuable content consistently to build trust.

I typically use a video, that offers some of the value of my email newsletter, as a way to get potential subscribers interested in my newsletter. That video gives a teaser for the content that will be included in the newsletter and often helps my views/readers make the connections that prompted me to write about a given concept.

One thing I've found is to give your followers, connections and prospects something they need. Something that solves a problem or sparks major curiosity that compels them to want to know more. put this behind a good landing page with an opt-in form and this makes getting more sign-ups to your mailing list easier. Webinars are also a great way to increase the mailing list to... build that fan base of loyalty. Making sure above all the content is relevant, thought out and useful to the audience is very important.

Here are some effective ways to provide value and entice users to subscribe: Exclusive Content: Offer exclusive content to your social media followers. Let them know that by subscribing to your email list, they'll gain access to premium content, such as in-depth guides, e-books, or industry insights not available elsewhere. Discounts and Promotions: Provide special discounts or promotions to your email subscribers. Promote these exclusive offers on social media, encouraging followers to join your email list to access the savings. Contests and Giveaways: Host contests or giveaways.

There are 3 types of Call-to-Actions you can include on your LinkedIn posts. And it's always recommended to end your post with at least one. The 3 call to actions to engage your readers are: 1 QUESTION. For example, "What do you think?" or "Who's someone who helped you? Tag them in the comments." 2 ACCESS. For example, "To learn [topic], sign up for my newsletter." "If you want [benefit], register for [live event]." 3 CONTACT. For example, "If you want to [goal], send me a DM." "If you want to [goal], schedule a consult call." Call to actions give direction to your reader to engage with you - but you must provide value first.

If you don't ask, they won't join. Make your CTAs crystal clear. Tell your audience exactly what they need to do to join your email list/download a resource/etc. For longer CTAs, you can add the Why and Who as well. Why should they join? Who is your ideal audience? This additional context can help people push people towards taking action.

For example, "Subscribe to our email list for exclusive updates" leaves no ambiguity about the desired action. Highlight Value: Clearly communicate the value users will receive by subscribing to your email list. Use language that emphasizes benefits, such as "Get access to exclusive content" or "Unlock special offers." Create a Sense of Urgency: Encourage immediate action by incorporating urgency into your CTAs.

Even personalised emails or WhatsApp messages get ignored these days due to the amount of spam, noise from the mature/dominant communication channel. Do consider dropping an SMS with a short summary of the meet-up and a link to your LinkedIn which should contain your credentials and what are you solving for. People DO CLEAR or CHECK their message inbox because of their important OTPs :)
