Identify one universal pain point and become an absolute expert on it. Fintech is a very broad subject and it’s better to be an expert on one area than being a generalist. Some examples: Expert in Fraud prevention and Ops for online transactions. Expert in Backend Reconciliations with Acquirer reports, cross-currency settlements and accounting.

To develop a personal brand in FinTech, one must focus on establishing expertise and credibility within the industry through consistent communication and engagement. Start by defining your niche within FinTech and showcase your knowledge through content creation, such as blogging, social media posts, or industry presentations. Network with professionals in the field, both online and offline, to build relationships and expand your reach. Additionally, demonstrate your skills and insights through thought leadership activities, such as participating in panel discussions, contributing to industry publications, or hosting webinars. Consistently delivering valuable insights and staying updated on industry trends will help establish your brand.

A niche helps you be quickly recognised by people (employers, clients and recruiters) and Linkedin (hastags, Top Voice categories). For some of this, an industry might help. Your function might help define it; sales, accounting etc. A theme may help; innovation, AI etc. For me it's insurance accounting projects but #Financialtechnology for the Linked Top Voice algorithm.

Fintech is a vast industry. The only way you can take up space is to create expertise in one thing. Know MF? Talk about them, again and again. For the other branches, network. Network with real estate experts, tax experts, p2p, etc. so if a client asks a question beyond your point of expertise, you can always provide via network.

Write long-form pieces on Medium on your area of expertise every once in a while. 3. Have a calenndly consultation link on your socials. 4. Make videos with your face in it, if you’re comfortable.

Based on my own experience in Blockchain, I feel that for creating a strong personal brand in FinTech, you need to use any one of following ideas or better a combination of them:-> 1) LinkedIn: This may take a couple of Years, but it’s best way to build a Personal Brand in FinTech Domain- Take the Time & Effort to Build a Strong LinkedIn Profile!! 2) Create Short Videos: Most of the Platforms now support Short Videos. They are watched a lot more than Long Videos. 3) Discuss Online: Don’t hesitate to comment & discuss about Topics related to FinTech with your Network & Peers Online. 4) Host Online Events: Events discussing / explaining Topics in FinTech 5) Write a FinTech Blog 6) Launch a YouTube Channel 7) Start a FinTech Newsletter
