In the current environment I would challenge anyone to ask themselves “do I even need funding?” Fundraising is hard and a total distraction from your day job ?? I also wonder whether #femalefounders run more profitable businesses because they raise less and therefore are forced to find PMF and revenue faster? ????♀? If you need to raise, make a plan, be 100% prepared and hit it hard. Get to a “no” as fast possible!

One of the biggest issues that we see in fundraising is the misalignment between funders and recipients of funding and nowhere is this greater than with VC's & their invested companies. I would advise caution before getting into bed with a VC and to speak to some of their failed investments and find out where it all went wrong and how supportive they were.
