The choice of tools should align with the specific goals, complexity and scale of the project. For instance, for designing digital circuits, tools like VHDL or Verilog might be needed for hardware description, while control systems may require MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and simulation. Large-scale projects may benefit from specialized software suites like PSpice and Cadence for circuit design, whereas smaller projects might rely on simpler tools like Arduino for rapid prototyping.

First of all we have to understand what specific types of requirements the industry has on current time ,what type of motors machine scada system they are working with .after that we have to design the system.we also take care of what software is the industry currently familiar with because making software with different programming might cause effects. The industry needs specialist engineers to handle that software. Also some training needs to be done after designing the system.

Basically, we need to understand what type of system is used by the customer and what problems are they facing, and finally, what improvements they want. After this, we need to analyze and do some research on the customers' site. Then, we should identify what improvements can be made and also research regarding if we can do we need to implement a new system or we can reprogram the existing system by adding some of the additional sensors and components. After that, we need to estimate the time to upgrade, calculate labor costs, material costs, and further training we need to provide regarding the new system. Also, we need to understand how much equipment, I/Os and components are required. Also, some of the site does not require any PLC's.

I prefer PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming for Automation and process control systems from which we can save our time, cost and human resources.

A more traditional approach is better for electrical software because this industry is very mature. The software should be reliable, dependable and bug free. A slower more mature software cycle is prefered. Bells and whistles are fine, but if we cannot achieve the core objectives there is no need of the software.

I think something is missing here. The software is a great tool for electrical design, but without a competent engineer it is the useless tool no matter how sophisticated and advanced the software is....

This concept is great at producing any software and not limited to electrical software. Modular software with plugins for different functions is the standard in this industry.

Having been a software engineer for ten years, I can say that the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for software development, ensures proper coding, testing, integration, fielding, and ease of maintenance and future growth are considered. The higher the maturity level achieved by an organization is credited by a well trained and disciplined software engineering staff it employs.

Some user need to testing the software. Let some user playing the software with some scenario and let see how it works. Software deficiencies will be seen during the test.

Software testing is great from a product package point of view. But real world testing is required from electrical application point of view. There is an additional layer of real world testing that needs to done for electrical software as they replicate real physical properties.

Following software documentation standards enables users to follow standard logic. This helps meshing with other vendors who also follow the same logic. Additionally, electrical ISO, BS, IEEE, NERC, IEC and regional standards need to be implemented in the software.

With the progression of AI, we need to update ourselves with the latest technology either in engineering or any other field. In my view, within a few decades, lots of human workforce will be decreased but side-by-side productivity will also be high with low price and effort compared to the manual system. So, there is a benefit as well. Also, we need to change our current education system which is traditional. I mean to say that our education system should be changed.
