In order to ensure consistent and high-quality applications including it's UI, is to ensure that it is designed for 'testability' - that is, it can easily be tested. With frequent changes required to add new features and capabilities to the application, it's critical that core parts of the front-end systems be structured in a way that can be tested easily. This includes creating UI components that have clear dependencies so that they can be easily unit tested. Similarly, creating mechanisms to be able to 'mock' interfaces can ensure that your UI code doesn't rely on a specific 'implementation detail' - instead based on clear 'contracts' between systems. A testable UI framework begets an adaptable application.
