It later helps with decision making, convergence, conflict resolution and most importantly autonomy where teams should feel empowered to make decisions that best suit their needs.

What also helps is the right tooling to back the process and make it more seem less rather than a burden. Almost always, there would be scenarios that need deviations and exceptions from the normal path and clarity around those areas also helps in smooth execution and a good overall experience.
