3 Outline your plot

Once you have your format and scope, you can outline your plot. The three-act structure involves dividing the story into three parts: the setup, the confrontation, and the resolution. The hero's journey is a classic monomyth with stages such as the call to adventure, the threshold, the ordeal, the reward, and the return.
