How can you comprehensively test and debug RPA?

- Design: Refer to PDD, identify all possible test cases for each exceptions being considered in scope. Also write exhaustive test scenarios for all variations of the process - Test data: Ensure to get sufficient test data from Production (or Production like test data after scrubbing PII elements). - Create an UAT guide explaining , how to go about conducting UAT for to-be process. Conduct a demo of to-be process for the business users at the beginning of UAT phase - For extremely critical processes, execute parallel runs in production with either a dummy data (say dummy accounts/clients etc) or a set of production entities where impact will be minimal. Then after stabilizing the process in real world, switch it on fully in production

This Term Tests and debugs the main key part of any project to be delivered successfully, and when it comes to the RPA Project it's crucial to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of automated processes. Here are some comprehensive steps and best practices for testing and debugging in RPA 1-Requirement Analysis: Understanding the business requirement thoroughly will help us to know what known business exception scenarios in the process need to be taken care of. 2-Unit Testing - Always try to create Test cases for each module to ensure it performs as expected. 3-Proper Error Handling - Make sure to handle the unknown scenario in code by adding a Try/Catch, Global Exception Handler, logging, and Retry Mechanism.

Debugging and thorough testing are essential stages in guaranteeing the dependability of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) systems. Below path works best for me: - Unit test: Unit testing ensures that each component works as intended and does not have any errors or bugs. - Integration testing: Integration testing ensures that the components work well together and do not have any conflicts or inconsistencies - Security: Security testing ensures that the solution is safe from unauthorized access, malicious attacks, data breaches, etc - Performance testing: Performance testing ensures that the software is fast, reliable and scalable. - UAT: UAT that the software meets the user expectations and requirements, and provides a satisfactory user experience. - HC: Testing against live system ensures that the software works correctly and consistently in a real-world setting.
