Use tons of references to help people that is not "visual" get a concrete idea of the choices taken and the current path. It might look like extra work on a preliminary phase but in the long run it will save time. Back in the day it was really hard, now its way faster.

Egos are the worst enemies of a good game. Disregarding feedback, having a sense of ownership of the work done, all that will conspire against the final result. It's a hard mental process but it is important to remain open to ideas, and also mindful of external feedback. There's a difficult balance between defending some positions and embracing others' views. Keeping in mind that it's easy to get too attached to our own ideas is important to avoid unconfortable positions.
