Your niche comes from your experience. You dont create niche, your niche is most of the time created by the experience you have had in a certain area. I consult entrepreneurs, creators and professionals to build their brands through content. This niche has come to me because of you last 17 years of experience in the content business.

In the biotech/pharma industry, identifying your niche is crucial for positioning yourself as an authority. Consider the specific area of expertise where you can offer unique insights and solutions. Focus on a specific area of expertise. Tailor content to address their challenges. Mix formats, engage conversation. Blog posts, podcasts, infographics - keep it interesting! Actively engage with your audience. Start small, repurpose often. Craft a concise blog post to test the waters. Repurpose core ideas across platforms to maximize reach. Be a bridge, not a relic. Connect your experience to current challenges. Position yourself as a seasoned voice with a forward-thinking perspective.

Write down 10 important statements that are the need of the hour in your area of expertise. Now convert these statements into a point of view either as action points , or analysis explaining your point. Every subject can be broken down into 5-6 ways of speaking.

Part of developing an authentic thought leadership strategy is determining where you authentically spend time and engage with your community. For many of us here on LinkedIn, we may think of LinkedIn communities or professional group forums, conferences, meetups, etc. There can be huge, valuable, and relevant communities almost anywhere, though! If you feel it would be more authentic to your voice and your message to communicate through YouTube videos, or a podcast, or Instagram, TikTok, X, etc., you can absolutely find the audience and community you seek in those spaces. Further, you can (many say SHOULD) take your voice to multiple channels. Post your blog on social media, podcast/Youtube simultaneously, etc. Here’s to reach!

Depending on where your audience is, chose your channels accordingly. For me as a content coach, my audience is not just on social media, but with real people too and I work with them to help them solve their real content needs.

As a thought leader, producing high-quality content is paramount to building credibility and trust with your audience. If you dont engage with your community, you will never be able to create authentic content. some of the best content will come out of conversations in comments, dms and even offline meetings with these followers of yours. Build social channels in real life post you have done considerable work of engaging online.

"Just hit publish!" When I began writing, I was hesitant to publish my work online because I felt: 1) The whole world would read my posts 2) Everything wise had already been written 3) Others might not agree with me. In reality: 1) Almost no one was reading (initially), and that was a good thing as I experimented and found my niche. (BTW, it takes a lot of work to get seen online.). 2) Sure, lots had been written on leadership...but not in my voice and with my experience. 3) Some do disagree with my perspective, and that's ok. As Seth Godin says, "it's not for them." Think about all the content that you breeze right by because you're not interested or don't agree. Just hit publish, your voice will eventually land with the right people.

Thought leaders often have their own struggles and experiences that have made them wiser and more resilient. Alternatively, they may want to help others heal. By sharing your journey authentically and providing guidance, tools, and resources to others, you can help them overcome similar challenges. This is where you can find your niche. Be genuine and share often. Choose the platform that allows you to connect with the people you want to reach. And remember: - There are going to be enough "nah" sayers. Ignore. - Listen to your soul whispers and follow the path. - Remeber what you give, always come back. So have good intentions. - Don't take things personally. - Have fun creating and sharing content - It's the energy that matters :)
