Here are some examples: Leaning too hard into brand fluff or indulgent visions will produce gorgeous and pathetically ineffective creative. Over-prioritizing data and research will produce unremarkable content that nerfs long-term brand value. Being too rigid can compromise quality and performance while being too loosey-goosey can drain client budgets and agency profits. Going too deep into technical explanations in deliverables can overwhelm clients. Not providing enough detail or comms can leave them questioning value.

One thing i have found very helpful when working on strategies is to use the OCTA tool. O - Objective C - Challenge T - Truth A - Answer You get an objective from the client. You identify the challenge. Find the consumer truth . Give a simple and clear answer.

I find the best way to evaluate performance is through the feedback of 3 different subsets of your audience. The first audience is your stakeholders (clients). What did they think of your process, workflow, time management, associated costs, attention to detail, and how you left them feeling in the end? The second audience is your stakeholders’ audience. Did they do, say, or feel the way you wanted them to according to your strategy and communication plan? The third audience is your team. How did the team feel about your leadership and execution of the project? Did the team find this project fulfilling, well organized and profitable? Would they do it again if they had the chance? Performance is easy to measure but not often easy to digest.
