The two worst things I see in public speaking. 1. Speakers who repeat the exact same presentations time after time after time. 2. Speakers who speak about things that they clearly have no idea about. For the first group, vary the message a bit. Or at least update your slides. We know you are an expert at this niche, but simply repeating the exact same script every time is lazy - considering how much you're being paid for this. For the second, staying in your lane is an important way to be seen as an expert. I've shared stages with people who clearly hadn't worked in social media in years and were repeating advice from five years prior. You can't be an expert in something if you've never actually done it.

The willingness and passion to speak in public are crucial, and it's unfortunate how often speakers take the stage merely out of obligation to their employers. ?? This is definitely the wrong approach. We need more speakers who genuinely want to be there and express this in their presentation style and how they address their topic. ?? to make it simple plan for two things - make yourself strong that you can do it - practice daily at home first this will be a good start and makes you a perfection gradually. and definetely dont over judge and dont try to be extra but try to make it happen first.

After connecting with the audience use your voice and experience to give relevant information that is pertinent to their needs. Give value to take back to their arena that is shareable by them. For instance, when speaking to elder audiences, I advise them on younger people where I have experience. I turn that around to deliver counsel to younger people on how to deal with the elder set. It is crafting the same message inversely so that it is relevant to each audience.

Like many industrious, we too have our "slow season" however, this may be the opportunity to show up in other ways, such as via online webinars, social media, and even blogging! While public speaking may slow down, your brand never stops growing!

It's important to have a call to action in place to avoid leaving your audience hanging. Lead them in the direction you want them to go. Do you want them to buy something, visit a link, read an article, or watch a video? Make sure to clearly communicate your desired action to your audience.
