There is something to be said for cumulative learning through both experience and education. Credibility is in a real sense in the “eye of the beholder. With that said the coach/consultant must know their “audience” who ultimately decide on how credible a coach is or isn’t.

I call myself a Life Student because I not only enjoy learning new techniques but also reading books and listening to podcasts. The only way to grow, other than coaching more clients, is to go thru certifications in your interested subjects and becoming a Practitioner. Right now I am working to finalize my NLP Practitioner and Being Profile? Practitioner certifications. Both add to my ability to help others. I have plans to move forward with my Master Practitioner certifications that include Hypnosis and Mental Emotional Release, MER? from Dr. Matt James.

Technology and knowledge is ever evolving, you can never be in a state of knowing it all, because someone somewhere is making headway in research and understanding. Ergo changing what you know. Being a life long learner is the only way that you can continuously improve and better what you know. Read, listen, watch and participate in webinars, conferences, talks and whatever material you can lay your hands on. Because learning can never stop.

It's my belief that a coach should alway have a coach that's able to them hone their coaching skills. One ting I do, is locate podcast, books, conferences and webinars that allow me to bein a room with other coaches to share experiences.

Continous education helps to keep the coach up to date with development in the chosen coaching field. This is obvious to the coachee and it helps to improve the credibility of the coah.

One thing I have found helpful is the realization that Humility in coaching is quite essential. It involves recognizing and acknowledging that there is always room for improvement, that one does not have all the answers, and that each individual is unique in their strengths and perspectives. A humble approach allows me as a coach to be open-minded, continuously learn from experiences, and adapt their methods to serve their clients best. A lesson I have learned in my professional life, and it serves me and the people I work with well.

As a coach, I have trained and worked with a multitude of people. People believe people and while I personally have never asked for star ratings or content to promote me, it is mostly recommendations that have worked in my favour. Word of mouth. Your effectiveness as a coach or mentor is only seen in the people and their improvement or success. Not in ratings.

Being consistent and reliable are foundational for being a coach. If you aren't showing up consistently neither will your clients. Role model what you wish to have in your practice and from those your serve.

Consitency is the key. It sound cliche but it is. People are looking for someone to be there when they need them and to be heard. This is why your consisten presense online is needed. Whether you're using schduled post of not, just knowing that they can find information to help them shows that you are reiable and consistent.

Being consistent is respectfull. You need to Write articles, ebooks, videos, build sustanable content. Talk and Write on clients issues and solutions in a positive way. Focus on solutions

Knowing your own values, boundaries, and motivations is a must in order to show up as an authentic coach. Only by understanding who you are can you deeply connect with your clients as well.

Let's reframe this question because authenticity and ethics are different items. Once can be authentic (ie: true to their beliefs) but that doesn't equate to being ethical. Ethics as a coach should come from the ICF (International Coaching Federation, combined with whatever school you studied with), then your application of those ethics becomes a question of your own authenticity.

Growing up I was always told no two people are ever alike. I approach each coachee with newness, for it is not just about me being authentic but the coaching journey to be authentic to the client. Is it only then that we see long lasting transformation, valuable insights and growth. That to me is credibility.
