Write down a list of your accomplishments and the positive feedback you have received from your peers, managers, or clients. Review this list regularly and use it as a source of motivation and inspiration.

In my perspective good supervisor must working for several years as contractor, in my case twelve, and when you are promoted to a position of supervisor, to remember what things you do as a contractor during yours interaction with supervisor. That is your strength. You know how you try to cowering and hide some things, so as a supervisor this is yours biggest advantage.

Para reconocer tus fortalezas como nuevo supervisor, puedes: -Asegurarte de que tus fortalezas estén en línea con el puesto. -Comprobar si eres consciente y puedes hablar sobre ti con confianza. -Tener pruebas sobre las cualidades y la experiencia que te diferencian de la competencia. -Evaluar tus habilidades de comunicación. -Responder con fortalezas que te destaquen como candidato y que estén relacionadas con la descripción del trabajo. -Ser humilde y específico con tus respuestas. -Agrupar tus puntos fuertes por componentes para que puedas usarlos de la forma adecuada, así como amplificar su valor. 2 Seek feedback and guidance

As a new supervisor, you may not have all the answers or solutions to every problem. That's okay, as long as you are willing to learn and improve. Seek feedback and guidance from your boss, mentors, or other supervisors who have more experience and expertise. Ask them for advice, suggestions, or best practices on how to handle various situations or tasks. Listen to their feedback and implement it in your work. Thank them for their support and show them your progress.

Remember that you weren’t promoted because you know everything or are the smartest on your team. You were promoted because beyond your solid contributions, you have shown a potential to facilitate dialogue, to support and enable others to do their best work. Don’t try to prove you’re the ‘boss,’ or that you know everything. Double down on your listening skills. It’s a great time to demonstrate both your confidence AND humility. If you show up this way, others will accept you in the role. Leadership is by agreement. Also, one of the best things you can do is thoughtfully shine a light on the work of individuals on your team when they have genuinely accomplished something. And remember to keep learning and growing yourself.

Ideally, you don't start with "I'm the boss now" attitudes from the very first minute, the immediate reorganisation of all existing structures and, above all, refrain from discrediting employees with many years of experience and expertise by proceeding according to the motto: "I know everything. And everything better." Sooner or later, this will take its toll. Employees will become frustrated, feel that they are not being taken on board and may even feel that they are being discarded. If they don't leave anyway to make their skills available where they are valued, they may quietly resign. And what could be more important than satisfied, loyal employees with integrity who are fully committed to the organisation?

Remember that as the manager, you are ‘always on’ with your team. Be authentic, but also remember that your mood and presence will project to your team whether you/they feel optimistic about the future, whether they should believe in the strategy and plans of the organization, etc. You have a bigger impact on the motivation of your team than you think. And you need to tap that motivation to get the best results. Leaders who are honest, but who also choose an optimistic, coaching mindset tend to succeed.

Recognize your team‘s successes. Don’t pretend or even believe to know everything better right from the start. Listen to your new team members. How they work and why they do things the way they do. There will never be a better moment to show respect than when you join the team.
