The decision should be guided by your needs and constraints regarding cost, support, and company knowledge Choosing a service mesh instead can be tricky. Almost all of them have the same capabilities. The most used are Kuma, Linkerd, and Istio.In my experience, the choice should be guided principally by the need for customization (some are more customizable than others), required performance, and last but not least the company know-how. If for example, the company is using an envoy already, probably you should choose an envoy-based mesh like istio.
