You don't want an ad to feel 'like an ad'. Many creators are getting good at pushing products so organically that you hardly even notice that they're there. A good example is @cripandip Mads who does 'carbs before a night out' content and has been working with brands in her videos for quite some time. It's usually a new sauce, a drink, some seasoning etc. it aligns with her content which makes you non the wiser that it is actually an ad.
With regards to YouTube adds that are placed automatically to your videos, one of the secrets is that a video over 4 minutes will have one ad placed on it, a video over 8 minutes will have two ads placed on it. With this in mind, it may be advantageous to post content that is slightly over 8 minutes to increase the potential of YouTUbe promoting your content since there are more ad placements on it.
