If a platform does not have well-performing, easy-to-use audio, it shouldn’t be considered. Beyond that, look for simple, effective controls to manage the desired audience experience.

Audio is one of the easiest technical issues to have gremlins show up in. First and foremost hire a good A1. If you can help not having a lav go that direction. A mic on a stand will not create the 'clothes' rustle you can get from a lav. As a studio executive, make sure you have a quite, sound proof room, if not and your able to create a quieter environment do it. (c stands and sound blankets, moving blankets work well for these pop up sound booths) Use a directional mic any time you can to help keep ambient sound from being recorded. If you are in a square or rectangle room, break it up with curtains, pillows, sound 'art' etc. Sound waves are linier, break up the strait line. Don't count on your edit tools, record it right.
