How can you attract new clients with your personal brand in Brand Strategy?

Attracting new clients in brand strategy through personal branding involves creating a distinct niche that showcases your unique expertise. Define Your Niche: Identify and highlight your specialization. Whether it’s revitalizing retail spaces or integrating innovative technologies in public spaces, let this be one's unique selling point in that case. Perception Management: Sharing knowledge through articles, case studies, and insights, especially on professional platforms like LinkedIn demonstrates your expertise but also showcases real-world applications of your strategies(like what I am doing here) Speaking at industry events, webinars, and workshops enhances one's visibility and thereby establishes the niche.

It’s two strategies: 1-)Focus strategy with a certain niche. 2-)Mass strategy throughout bigger personal brand equity. I prefer focusing strategy and believe that it’s way more effective on the long run than the mass one. Think about it, having less people paying more money is better or lots more with fractional price? It actually could depend. But mostly, the 1 precent can pay any amount!

I've done Brand Strategy work for personal brands with over 300.000 followers, and I myself have a personal brand (on X) that in 2023 reached 2M impressions per month for several months. Here's my advice. Ask yourself: Why should people follow you? If you were a cult leader, why would people attach themselves for you? Then treat yourself as a brand: ? Who are you? ? What's your highest ambition? ? How can your audience benefit from your goals? ? What do you stand against? CEOs often think personal branding means behaving like an influencer, but the secret is that they're wrong: Most personal brands fail because they're vanilla – while the key in personal branding is being selectively authentic to attract the right people.

It is crucial to identify and define your niche as it enables you to stand out from competitors and attract a targeted audience. By narrowing down your focus, you can become an authority in your niche, building credibility and trust with potential clients or customers. Defining your niche allows you to better tailor your products or services to meet the specific needs of your target market.

Start by identifying your unique value as a brand strategist and determine your areas of specialization, industry focus, or client profile. By doing so, you can position yourself as an authority in your field and become the go-to expert. This will also enable you to target your ideal clients more effectively and stand out from the competition.

Online presence is important but without a razor sharp proposition it wont be worth much. Make sure that you know how you communicate what value you bring in a manner that your audience can instantly understand. Hint: look at peoples linkedin job title under their name nowadays ;-)

Treat yourself like a client brand: Do the work and avoid common mistakes. For example, I've been fairly successful on Twitter/X, but I chose that platform because I was comfortable with it. That was a MISTAKE, and eventually I corrected myself and came to LinkedIn: You must be where your audience is, not where you want to be or would be in an ideal world. Pick your social media presence based on that, then build an appealing persona that displays who you are. A thing I do recommend to all my clients is that they get a professional headshot – a must if you want to convey personality.

Social media profiles are a great start for an online presence. But having a presence is just one aspect; actively engaging with your audience, consistently providing valuable content, and strategically leveraging these platforms are key steps toward building a robust and influential digital footprint.

Post daily about what you’re good at. No design? Do videos or text. No video? Do text. No writing? Do videos. Use your strengths. Branding is hard and slow. Don’t force yourself. Or you’ll quit. Just Be Consistent

Post daily, and post in the format you're naturally good at. Not a designer and don't have a design team? ???? Don't do carousels, do videos or write. Not a video kind of person, feel awkward on camera? ???? Don't do videos, write. Not a talented writer, or just loathe writing? ???? Go on camera. Lean on your strengths, otherwise it won't be sustainable – and that is a keyword, because personal branding is a hard and slow game. If you feel forced into content production, you'll fail.

Help people for free. I know it's counter-intuitive, but you need to build up good will before you can withdraw good intent. Network, share advice, and comment often on other people's contents by asking deep questions or giving authentically insightful opinions.

All i can say is; network is everything. If you have the right network and provide value to it, it will provide value back. If you are knwon to be honest, hard working and trustworthy within your network, you can take more risk and mistakes will be forgiven.

Every brand is a living thing. It will evolve, YOU will evolve, and so you'll find yourself tweaking colors, changing copy or improving upon details every few months. And if you ever feel lost, reach out to a professional – it never hurts.

Like businesses you and your personal brand evolve and potentially have a change of course over time. Showcasing your evolution over time contributes to the authenticity of your personal brand. Openly acknowledging your growth and adaptability demonstrates a genuine and authentic approach to your personal brand. Show that you're fearless in embracing change and continuously improving, which will resonate with your audience and build trust.

Your wardrobe is a business tool and you can use it to build a memorable brand AND open conversations with your ideal clients. But so many entrepreneurs spend their time and money on fancy websites and then neglect what they're wearing. I've been out having coffee with a friend on a Saturday before, and someone has commented on my blazer, started a conversation and become a client. If I'd been wearing something that didn't appeal to her enough to comment, she'd have walked right by. This principle applies wherever you are - at networking there is a sea of people, so how are YOU going to stand out to your ideal client?

Create yourself a brand avatar and stay true to it. Being consistent will help your audience resonate. Yes you are human and there are many sides to you, but if you’re a brand (that ultimately profits from customers or followers) you need to stay true to the brand. Treat your personal brand as a business and humanize your brand attributes. Know what your vision, mission and mantra is. Know your brand personality and tone of voice. Understand what value your brand is bringing to your audience and don’t cheapen it by being inconsistent. Channel your inner Dolly Parton! ??

In addition to these strategies, it’s crucial to regularly assess and refine our brand messaging based on client feedback and changing market dynamics. Clients and market are “living organisms”! Building strong relationships within the industry through partnerships and collaborations can also expand our network and client base. We are not alone, neither our/your brand! Monitoring competitors and staying agile in adjusting our strategies will ensure continued success in attracting new clients. Remember, the key is to not only attract clients but to build lasting relationships by consistently delivering exceptional value.
