How can you align social responsibility with your leadership style?

If you ask me, it is very important to be rooted in the values and principles that you lead by. Our actions create followers more than our words do! ?Surely, you have heard that actions speak louder than words. If you as a leader have words that not are matching up with your actions, then there is some kind of disconnect. Your team will feel the disconnection and loose trust and in the end will not follow you as their leader. ?There are no days off from leading. We influence people around us even when we are not trying to. So, setting a good example is a critical success factor to peak perform as a leader. Nowadays I say NO to a person?where I feel that words don't align with their actions!

When you walk in a factory ,you see with two eyes but 100s of eye see you and understand your expressions , your values and your vision. EQ ( know yourself ) is important for a leader and SQ ( know others and interact accordingly ) is equally important.Your values may or may not match with many but your objectives and business business targets are for all . So, your expression should effectively penetrate the mind of followers and criticism and turn to alignment of target . Once there was a labour unrest on salary and leadership was informed ,the leader increased the salary but after a few month reduced the number of worker but fulfill the social responsibility of workers retained by organization and enjoyed improving interpersonal relation

When working with my clients in different executive and business setups, I have noticed one common leadership performance success factor - credibility.? When someone is viewed as highly credible, they're seen as an asset, a valuable team player, someone you?want?to work with.?I always try to instill that listening and empathizing is essential for a leader to build credibility. ?? A person's credibility builds trust, and when you fully trust someone, it enables you to work with them much more efficiently and productively than if you're constantly worrying about them and assessing their abilities. In short, trust is a positive business difference maker. The speed of trust in business: high trust, high speed and low cost!

The model of culture of organization is very important but independent of social responsibilty . The most difficult is in a system where a culture of task oriented rather than knowledge . It is specially for organization with adaptation of customer development is the model of business ( ancillary manufacturer in automobile industry ) . The model of social responsibilty towards team or stake holder is achieved in social week end gathering or after office hours visits by the leader using his relationship management

Adapting to the future of work has always called for strong leadership. As an advisor to leaders I can see that servant leadership for example attracts and motivates diverse teams. To be a caring, compassionate, and empathetic leader is for me the future of leadership! A servant leadership creates high-performing teams through: ???Empowerment by a strong sense of purpose. ???Your success depends on your team’s success – the team doesn’t work for you; you work for them.?? ???Creating a culture in which your team sees peers as collaborators who make them stronger rather than competitors they must beat.?? ???Connecting your employees’ internal drive to your business objectives to become self-propelled learners.

Serving you team, stakeholder and customer makes relation stronger and lasting . A leader should think that he is a servant, in fact , entrepreneurship is nothing but serving society or customers by value addition and increase in convenience and supporting the cause of existence. If team, stake holders are in the inner circle because a leader most often interact with them than it is the resposibility of leader to increase the confidence and satisfaction by socially active . Empathy , emotions with 5S and OTT culture always shows that a leader consider himself as servant to organization vision ,target and caring sharing and growing attributes

New learning, adapting and implementing is natural and we do it since childhood but what we often fail is feed back of action based on new knowledge and preventing action in case it divert our target or vision . A leader need to be focused not only adaptation of new knowledge but evaluation of it on implementation and its effect on challenges or resolution of problem and corrective action thereafter

A culture of servant to organization goal and target is a attribute that a leader or follower is character of existence in an organization. Generally silos forget it and tend to influence his personal version .A leader like a servant should take this opportunity to show empathy and motivate the silo politely explaining the gap and benefit of leader's version of solution to challenge. If leader version is aligned with organization interest than as a flexible servant of organization , he modify path and adapt the new version.
