When I needed a mentor, I signed up with the Global Give Back Foundation in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation to connect young people with mentors. I was selected for the mentorship program and was paired with a mentor. I was asked to provide my career goals, my experience and my academic background and based on this information, I was paired with a mentor in the same field. This made it easier for me to learn from her because she studied what I studied in school and she was part of an alumni group that I belong to. We had many things in common when it came to professional life.

I personally have never had a mentor but I always try to offer assistance and mentor anyone who asks me for guidance.
