How can traditional teaching methods be adapted for online active learning?

We now have more choices.. more tools and hence more versatility, more combination and eleviates the interplay of learner, content and technology to a new level. In saying that, the learners should be the focus and personalisation should be in play now .. supported by pedagogy and technology.

Although there is a big difference between the traditional and online teaching techniques, online teaching is still preferable to the traditional approach, but it should take more effort from the teachers. Teachers, however, have a deeper grasp of the benefits of utilizing technology-enabled teaching techniques. Their age, however, is not a factor in dealing with issues that arise from attending classes

Books are good for some people, but not for others. Using PDF may be easy, but it lacks resources. Developing online books that may be written on may cost a lot... Deciding what method, tool or resource is the best for you depends on who your target audience is.

The key is to make it fun to the students, make the topic the students are supposed to learn, into a tool to do something else they already love doing, then their brains will naturally pick up the new stuff and relate to long term memory.

Theory with no practice is like some useless rock in the middle of the living room: You'll discard it as soon as you can, since it's only taking up space. From the moment it gets application and it makes sense to the students, memory will "have a reason" to keep it, so, use memory as a part, a tool, not the only objective.

Be up to date to the last neuroscientific′s findings about the human leaning process, so you can also have the theoretical basis to keep your students commited to the plan you have elaborated for them.

Actually, I disagree with the notion that online learning lacks engagement. By implementing strategies such as live lectures with Q&A sessions and collaborative projects, students can actively participate and interact with course material and peers. An example I have seen is incorporating peer review activities using online platforms. This fosters collaboration and critical thinking skills among students while providing valuable feedback on each other's work.

Mix images, texts and videos to your presentation of a subject. Keep interesting, you can also add a game with Q&A in the end.
