Stakeholder feedback helps identify emerging trends impacting your organization's reputation by providing real-time insights into public sentiment. Analyzing this feedback can reveal shifting attitudes and concerns, allowing for proactive reputation management.

I'll take it from an internal teams perspective as there is a lot to do different in the space. These points are 100% relevant to your workforce and need to be asked as part of your ongoing check ins. Both at an individual and team level. How well is the organization delivering on its mission and objectives in the eyes of the people? Where are the major roadblocks to achieving key outcomes and impacts? Ask the people what needs to look and feel different for these roadblocks to be removed. Remember do not undertake any of this unless you can clearly articulate to your people how you will be using their advice and insights. And deliver on it! People are fatigued giving advice and sharing their experiences for it to go no where.

Technology is key but once again do you have a plan to make this inclusive and accessible to all your people? How do you know the literacy and numeracy capability of your workforce across all roles, teams and functions. Never assume a thing. Make sure you do the research to understand where your people's skill gaps are as it relates to technology. And invest the money and time in fulfilling these. To do otherwise is to disrespect your people and see your introduction of technology a sure fire failure.

Before you undertake this work I strongly suggest you undertake research into current and emerging skill gaps, threats and risks. These are all the workplace/organizational environmental factors which will potentially impact on people's day to day reality. And their ability to fully deliver their role as agreed. Engage your workforce in sharing ideas, advice and lived experience to make sure you are making well informed decisions. A combination of one on one and team discussions work best. Remember not all topics are appropriate to be unpacked in a public forum, so think about the experience you want to give people.

One of the most challenging aspects in my example is managing and responding to internal politics within an organization. These are often deep rooted and will take time and a well thought through approach to change. There is no quick fix. In this case it is key that you are across these internal politics and understand how it impacts on the people. Once you are aware you then have the responsibility to work with the relevant parties to either remove these or at the very least move to mitigate these.

Stakeholders outside of the company have a very different perspective than employees inside. It's very useful to listen to their opinions about the organisation's reputation, as they see and hear more.
