I am a retired Quality professional. Quality needs to assist manufacturing in Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Quality provides processes, systems, procedures and assistance to manufacturing to produce quality products, but Quality does not manufacture products. Quality is manufactured into the products. Manufacturing must work with Quality AND the customer to provide quality products. Executive management must decide whether the bottom line or customer satisfaction is important.
