In order to create a customized safety program for your workplace you need to create a multidisciplinary team of employees, supervisors, managers, and stakeholders. It is also very important to include a health and safety professional or someone who is well qualified in regulatory compliance to ensure all requirements from federal, state, and local regulations are met and documented. If you do not have in house personnel that are qualified to lead or support the creation of a customized safety program, there are safety consultants and other third party resources available to assist.
