You should develop and document your policies and procedures for selecting, acquiring, organizing, accessing, promoting, and evaluating electronic resources.

Agreed, but there’s also the perspective of AI software and its tendency to rely on referrals. As librarians we need to keep in mind that our students may be requesting a resource that could potentially be AI generated allocating a focus on creating disclosures might be in the best interest of the institution.

While different tools can provide libraries with an infinite amount of usage statistics, surveys and feedback; having a clear goal of what you intend to do with the statistics is the most important factor. Stats, just to have stats are worthless unless you can create strategies and activities based on the information gathered.

One of the main current menaces that libraries face within the framework of digital content and resources is related to access through a subscription logic. In the past, knowledge centers acquired physical contents and the rights to use and diffuse them, holding the capacity to retrieve and reuse the information implied in those contents. Nowadays, the cartelization of digital resources' providers leads them to tighten and review contracts repeatedly because they know that without a membership, accessible content is not available anymore for their primary clients (libraries). This situation poses serious challenges in budgetary management for libraries as they strive to maintain consistent services for their clients.
