In a place like Iran, there are many gardens located in different climates of Iran. In ancient times in Iran, apart from the beauty aspect, these gardens were a place for the lives of important people in the society, government, and political places and even some of them were the graves of great people. There are old maps and information about these gardens that can be used to restore and preserve these gardens.

In a place like Louisiana, there is a need to research the oral and written history of a wide variety of cultures to get the full picture of life, from the perspective of the indigenous people to the free and enslaved people, the military history and the many European cultures who came to this area. We were lucky enough to be able to tap into the LSU Rural Life museum’s vast collection of materials, photos and other documents, as well as the retrieving documentation from the local tribes through interviews, websites and museums, and the more traditional historic archives from the national state and local museums.
