Something not very well known to people is that if you know the success probability of your subroutine, you may tune the amplitude amplification method to make it succeed with probability exactly 1; which is important for many applications. The basic idea is to add an auxiliary qubit to decrease the success probability initially just as much as to make it hit 1 with an integer number of amplitude amplification steps. Another key technology you will want to seriously consider using in combination with Grover's Algorithm is a GDB (graph database). One reason is that GDBs are particularly well suited to the kind of large, sparsely populated data sets that Grover's Algorithm is good choice for searching. But there is another, perhaps less intuitive reason connected to amplitude magnification. When you apply the amplitude magnification to your data set, you are doing so in order to make the elements you're searching for easier to find. But the adjusted data after you've applied the diffusion might prove a valuable source of additional insights that classical unsupervised machine learning might be able to detect.
