How can the food industry address food waste and insecurity?
Food waste and insecurity are two major challenges facing the food industry and society at large. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, about one-third of the food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted every year, while about 690 million people suffer from chronic hunger. How can the food industry address these issues and contribute to a more sustainable and equitable food system?
