Practicing FEA analysis on complex software is often an impediment for junior members, which could be resolved by implementing more user friendly software such as Autodesk Inventor. Over time these initially simplified systems have evolved to state of the art, fast and intuitive systems, which save lots of time (and thus money) and can provide as high simulation accuracy as required. Adding to this, it has the plus side of high compatibility with other softwares.

FEA models are only as good as their inputs. It is therefore important to correlate the outcomes with physical testing where possible, even using rapid prototypes. I've also found being able to explain the model results is critical to improve its quality.
