Sustainability of an event isn't just about the eco friendliness of the event, waste disposal, water management etc. It's also about how effective an event is which in simple terms means, "since we're using these resources, let's make the most it" and by putting the strategic direction of an event front and centre before even planning it, you can make sure it's achieving its objectives and more, and so, it's a sustainable event.
