This is the key. Many organizations and individuals seek two digit results with limited appetite. You need to define your risk/reward matrix, and act accordingly. "No risk no pain" sounds good as a concept, and same happens to "no risk, no fun". But, and this is a big BUT, you need to define your operating framework, with upper levels when you are willing to cash in and unwind your positions, whatever that means, and your stop losses. As they say, "let others cash in the last €". You set your goals, and you stick to them. And this applies across the board, both to personal and business goals.
