Effectivement il serait possible de faire par exemple des économies d’énergie tout en conservant un certain niveau de confort. En détectant la présence ou non d’usager dans une zone spécifique, et en combinant cette information avec celles mesurant le niveau de confort (température, humidité et qualité de l’air par exemple) on pourrait alors réduire ou augmenter le chauffage, la climatisation ou la ventilation.

Optimiser l'utilisation d'énergie en fonction de la fréquentation serait effectivement un grand plus. Par ailleurs les capteurs pourraient détecter les goulets d'étranglement dans les circulations et permettre à terme des suggestions d'amélioration

This is the wrong question to be asking! The real question is, "what is hindering good passenger experience?" Always identify the problems first before seeking solutions - and certainly before trying to apply specific technologies. Passengers don't care what technology you use - they just see the outcomes.
