While AI and ML cannot substitute current logistics planning, it is a good tool for brainstorming - considering factors and patterns you haven't realised yet, asking questions e.g. about potential challenges and risks. Let the system work alongside your employees like a trainee and not su substitute your work.

In planning, especially with logistics, more detailed information is always better. With access to AI, the automation of our data could help cut waste in areas that are traditionally hard to see relevant cost savings, like fuel, delivery time, and driver downtime. Optimizing routes with predictive insights can make for some real cost savings down the road.

Even if managers and planners understand the AI tool, most often there is a lack of trust in the operations team. They don't understand the tool sufficiently and don't give it time to be adjusted. If you implement it, it has to work immediately and without error. Provide the operations with sufficient knowledge by taking then along in the development process and amallowing the system to work in parallel with the as is process to build trust and confidence.
