1 Understand the differences

The first step to work together effectively is to understand the different characteristics, preferences, and values of each generation. Generally, agribusiness professionals can be classified into four groups: Baby Boomers (born between 1946 and 1964), Generation X (born between 1965 and 1980), Millennials (born between 1981 and 1996), and Generation Z (born after 1996). Each group has its own strengths, weaknesses, motivations, and communication styles. For example, Baby Boomers tend to be loyal, experienced, and hard-working, but may resist change and new technologies. Generation X tends to be independent, adaptable, and pragmatic, but may lack trust and feedback. Millennials tend to be collaborative, innovative, and socially conscious, but may expect flexibility and recognition. Generation Z tends to be tech-savvy, diverse, and entrepreneurial, but may lack patience and attention span.

The issues affecting the market risk management are to be re-looked comprehensively. The failure of agriculture commodity spot and derivative market is the point in case. Merger of Forward Market Commission with SEBI could not bring in much reforms. Agriculture trade is not fully integrated into market mechanism.

I found that when we need to collaborate, it is important to share our goals at the first possible moment, the first meeting or whatever the situation may be. The lack of communicating our own goals and understanding someone else's goals leads to huge frustration during the collaboration. We do not need to have the same goals, but it is very important to share these goals with each other. Everyone has a goal, we only need to understand it and then we can align goals. Communication always key!
