You have to have a skill for signal flow and do ask questions always. Take pictures. Follow people who you respect. Learn about other sound skills. Spatial, cinema, video, don’t waste your time watching tv. Learn and do any free courses.

Talk to people with respect. Do not lie about your skills. Understand patch, stage etiquette, call people sir and madam and take pictures using timestamp to prove you done the job. Know who the client is and do not talk over people. Learn that every event is very important and know your place in the cog of the event. Do not answer questions that have nothing to do with you. If someone asks you something and it’s not your business direct them to who takes care of that.
