Trust is the core of every relationship in personal and professional life. The circle of feedback is one of the critical tools to enable trust. And, here are three aspects to consider: -Consistenly ask for feedback from peers and leaders because this is a trait of a lifelong learner. -Openly and actively accept feedback as a gift because someone cares enough to share it for your growth. -Be courageous to act upon it and then share the learnings from those actions inspired from the feedback, so the feedback provider knows you’re listening actively and doing something with it. Without an action or follow-up, feedback is dismissed. Build trust by digging deeper on perceptions and observations, and then work on the feedback loop.

This is true on many levels. My true experience has been with sharing ideas with my team and getting genuine feedback especially when members of my team share certain traits with a target demography for the product being discussed. This gives us real insight on whether our solution really meets the needs of that demographic by using that team member to gain valuable feedback

In this, I find that one should really listen to the message from a place of open mindedness. This doesn't mean your previous analysis was flawed but more that it needed a broader perspective. Look inward and truly understand what drives your solution and the truth will be your compass henceforth in deciding the direction of your company.

Take a beat! You being a leader doesn't translate to you having all the answers. I'm still learning this. Sometimes you don't want to come off as what you might be afraid of as incompetence. This is hard sometimes. Especially as a startup that most likely had to do a lot of the company building solo. Now you have to relinquish some level of responsibility to your team and you find yourself struggling to trust their capabilities with delivering efficiency. It's not an either or situation. Teach them what you believe they need to know and share information as timely as possible. This way, you know work is being done faster and more effectively as there is power in numbers.

Analyze your comments in your thought leadership posts—sometimes this is hard if engagement is not so high. To be honest, you also need to trust in your research, which is the most important asset in global thought leadership.
