Global food security is not an issue of quantity but rather availability. We commonly hear the tag line “to provide more food to a growing population”. The issue is not having enough production. This I would say is backed up by low commodity prices across the board. The real issue of a starving growing population is logistics. We have abundance in certain regions and lack in others. Solving the logistics problem is how we feed the growing population and increase farm returns.
