As an employer of a fantastic team of UX designers at Neuron, I thought I would contribute some of what we look for when receiving inquiries from UX interns. It all comes down to the Figma file (even if it contains a hypothetical project). As a hiring manager, it is often more impactful to receive a sample figma file that is well structured, detailed, and annotated than it is to see a portfolio website. The reason for this is: Figma is our meeting ground on a daily basis once you are practicing in the field. It is important to convey via a sample figma that you are well-organized so that you will be able to collaborate with other designers on the team in a seamless way.
