Here's how you can stand out from other professionals in your field using creativity.

You should really nail down your one liner and your elevator pitch, practice and iterate continuously so it becomes second nature. Pick a niche, it is okay to do all kinds of work but it is important to gradually niche down, not too much. You can possibly make separate accounts for different niches too if you think you are really good at multiple niches.

Your colors, typography, and logo should portray your personality and should never be the generic helvetica and yellow, iteration is the key here. Make a lot of moodboards and in a while you will have figured out what you want your visuals to look like. AND PLEASE DO NOT JUST USE TEMPLATES, make them YOURS you can do that by simply changing colors and moving some stuff around.

Your personal brand is an extension of you. Your visual identity should reflect this too. I love wearing bold patterns and colours - it’s rare to catch me wearing black. My online visual identity reflects this. It’s important to ensure your online persona visually matches who you are IRL. - what colours do you lean towards? - how would you describe your style? - are there patterns or motifs that you love? Incorporate these into your visual identity to stand out in the timeline.

Creating a visual impact leaves a lasting impression on the mind of your audience. Over time, your audience will get used to your visuals and where ever they see your brand colour, they will remember you. It makes you top of mind for them. Many people tend to remember what they see more than what they hear, that's why you have to be intentional about your visuals, and let them resonate with your audience while carefully delivering the message of what your brand stands for.

The best way to stand out is by creating content about your work, experiences and interests, it allows you to develop a solid personal brand and also puts your work out there for the world to see, if it goes viral that’s even better and if it doesn’t well you now know videography, scripting, some typography and design, and the most important: speaking to the camera! These skills will help you throughout your career.

To my students I always say... Your contents must 1. Educate 2. Enlighten 3. Entertain The E3 is the safest code to have at the back of your mind when creating a content You don't just educate your audience with it, enlighten them using your experience, that is when you establish authority, then entertain them... It will leave them coming for more. Sincerely, if contents are well put together, it should reflect your personality, your audience should be able to see and relate to your brand through your content.

Wherever you live try not to miss any events, join communities and actively contribute to events by creating content about the events, this is something I do personally and it helps greatly in developing a network and can also get you some leads ;) After events everyone is looking for something to post on their story or feed to show they attended the event, and you can give them just that!

Don't stop learning, make it a point of duty to continue to learn. There's no amount of knowledge that is too much. The more you learn, the more you grow. Share your learning journey with your audience, you're not just establishing the fact that you have a wide range of knowledge in the industry, you're also motivating someone.
