In Hungary many companies need the salary expectations of candidates in very early stage: most of the time at the initial phone call. After you’ve applied for a role, be prepared regarding the expected salary range you would like to have later. Of course you can tell the recruiter that you have to get to know the role better before defining your salary expectations but in most cases you have to mention an approximate salary range which you can change later with a short note if you want.
