This will help you share vivid, specific examples of your problem-solving and adaptability. Let's dive deep and shine in our interviews! ??

The key is to highlight skills that can transfer over nicely. Like, say they want someone who's a great communicator - then we should give examples of times when we really nailed explaining complicated topics or running smooth meetings. Our previous jobs might not be an exact match, but if we can show off skills that fit what they need, that's what matters most.

Ensure you are clear on what the job requirements are by analysing the job description and/or job specification. Then gain clarity on the examples from your career history that can best fulfill the criteria the employer is looking for. When talking about your experience in an interview or through a job application always use the STAR method (what was the Situation, what Task did you have, what Action did you take and what Result did that action create). I like to summarise this by using my own formula. Which is quite simply, explain what the issue was how you resolved it (from start to finish) and what impact did that have on your team/organisation. Many people forget to include the impact, excluding them from being a top tier candidate.

Adding quantifiable achievements to your?interview responses enhances your credibility with potential employers. Here’s how to effectively quantify your achievements: - Use relative terms or percentages to showcase your accomplishments. Avoid sharing absolute numbers that are internal to your current organization. - Highlight how your contributions have impacted the organization commercially, operationally, or strategically. - Focus on areas relevant to the position you’re applying for, allowing the interviewer to envision your potential contributions clearly.
