Un líder que toma partido inevitablemente invalidará uno de los puntos de vista involucrados, generando incomodidad y resquemores futuros en la parte no favorecida. En mi experiencia personal me ha ayudado esuchar a las partes por separado, intentar acercar las visiones de forma individual y luego generar un espacio compartido que sea seguro y de escucha activa para que puedan compartirse mutuamente sus puntos de vista. Siempre solicité a mis colaboradores que en este espacio, en lugar de exponer lo que sienten que el otro hizo mal, hagan énfasis en la autocrítica, reconociendo sus propios errores y haciendo propuestas de mejora para que no se repita la situación.

En mi experiencia personal, la mejor manera de encontrar puntos en común y evitar que la conversación se redireccione a ataques personales, es comenzando con una breve exposición autocrítica de cada involucrado/a. De esta forma, al comenzar el diálogo reconociendo sus errores en lugar de marcando los ajenos, disminuimos la posibilidad de que se sientan juzgados y acercamos posiciones. A su vez es conveniente solicitarle a los colaboradores que expresen en voz alta qué harán en el futuro para evitar incurrir en los mismos errores o situaciones que generan malestar.

El diálogo constante puede parecer una pérdida de tiempo, pero es la base que permite solidificar los cimientos de cualquier equipo. Generar confianza, fortalecer vínculos y hasta generar chistes internos afianzan el trabajo en conjunto, preparan a los colaboradores para enfrentar juntos cualquier adversidad y mejoran el clima de trabajo. Es fundamental para esto tener una escucha activa y empática, no invalidar la opinión de ningún miembro y fomentar la participación de todos, pidiéndole que expresen en voz alta su visión de la situación actual y sus deseos futuros. Formar equipo no es sólo tener gente a cargo, sino saber acompa?arlos en su crecimiento personal y profesional, potenciarlos y estar siempre disponibles para ellos.
