Take a deep breath... hold (1 second) and release. Do this couple of time this boost oxygen to your brain help to think faster.

I really like that famous post "Debugging is like being detective in a crime movie where you are the murder". Going through error message is like solving a interesting murder(error) mystery. Where they slow trail you to the actual culprit (piece of code). But Logical errors are the Drishyam (Bollywood triller movie); Can't solve them that easily unless you maintain very good presence of mind.

90% of the time the error could be fixed by taking the time and reading the error message, or at least it will give you a good idea on where to look, and really that might be all you need to really solve it

Harnessing the rightful skills of Debugging is really important. Cause using right debugging tool in right situation will always prove to be saving lot of time. Adding console statements, debugger statements, commenting out the code or dragging someone and explaining code to them (not so great, but works).

Making a good dev mode debugger should be a priority when building an application, Because without debugging you'll be like blind man looking for his needle

Chat-GPT, Bard AI and other AI model... are trained on the data which there to help and speed up the process of find the right topic to google if they can't provide you a straight answers. I have been to this situation a lot when I tweak my input to get the right functioning code. Wasted 6-7 hours while the solution was right on the very first link on the google. Having the good knowledge base in organization is really a blessing that help to solve already encountered problem much smoothly.

We're not in the 80s anymore, we have some really useful tools to make us look for solutions, like Google, stack overflow, Github and even ChatGPT (it's really good at giving examples and teaching stuff not really good at coding though ??)

I really like that interesting post from the reddit, where a sr. dev ask the jr. to look for the similar issue on stackoverflow and solve this by it own. Unknowingly code moved to production to solve 1 problem he caused 300 more. Sr. ask Jr. from where did you copy pasted the code? Jr. say's stackoverflow and showed the post. Sr. said "From Question?" (Sorry if you didn't get this pun) But revising the code also help to provide better result and specially after gained insight about the overall project. Also always recommended to get your PR reviewed not only your share your learning but also improve yourself exponentially.

Often a problem can be tracked down to somewhere deep inside the code base. Where a specific state due to context causes the issue. It can be very tempting, and quickest, to simply check for that state and correct right there, i.e., a workaround or bypass. But you will probably find yourself writing another one later, and later again and so on. Try to assess whether it is better to solve the issue on a higher level in the code base. So the faulty states can logically never occur again.

I am a hardcore unit-tester and I can't even count how many times tests saved me time and money, unit testing should be an essential piece while designing the application, it might take more to ship a new future, but you know for sure that you covered every case you can think of, to make you app more reliable and safer to use
