In my experience building a successful business with a cofounder, I can say that the reason we can achieve what we do together is that we’re not afraid to have honest conversations and to ask hard questions. This takes work. Try to make a culture where it’s ok to ask the tough questions and you’ll have the strongest working relationship.

Problems should be for everyone not for individually you . If we start working for everyone issues then surely there will be less attrition.

A few things I learned from having a business partner 1. The quicker you talk about a problem the quicker it goes away. Don’t let things fester. 2. You both have different strengths and weaknesses. Identify them, celebrate each others and sometimes you have to stay in your lane 3. Agree roles and responsibilities from the start. Meet regularly, update each other, understand what you are working on 4. It’s okay to disagree 5. Put yourself in their shoes and look at things from their perspective 6. If you are having a clash ask yourself “what could I be missing here?” 7. Passive aggression makes things worse. Sit down, talk and always come at it from a place of kindness
